Rear View Cameras
By 2014, all new cars will be required to include rearview cameras. The new rule is an effort to decrease a disturbing statistic: Each week, two children are killed and about 50 hurt, on average, by cars accidentally backing up over them, according to a nonprofit group. A rearview camera is a special type of video camera that is produced specifically for the purpose of being attached to the rear of a vehicle to aid in backing up. Rearview cameras are alternatively known as 'reversing cameras' or 'backup cameras'.
